Smile makeovers
The aim of a smile makeover is to create a beautiful, healthy and natural looking smile.
Transform your smile
Smile makeovers transform the appearance of smiles by using a series or combination of cosmetic dental treatments. The aim of a smile makeover is to create a beautiful, healthy and natural looking smile, and we work closely with our clients and talented technicians to design and produce your individual smile. Surveys and opinion polls consistently show that many people consider their smile to be amongst their most important features and a healthy attractive smile is known to boost self-confidence and improve our interactions with others. We recognise the importance of a great smile and have won awards for our work in Cosmetic Dentistry as we strive to ensure that we create the best smile for every client.
The treatments you choose as part of a smile makeover will depend on your current oral health status, the look you want to achieve, budget and individual preferences. Popular treatments include:
- Tooth whitening
- Veneers
- Orthodontics
- Cosmetic bonding
- Porcelain crowns
- White fillings
- Dental implants
How do I choose which treatments to have?
We will arrange a consultation to discuss how you feel about your smile, what you would like to change and determine your expectations from the treatment. We can recommend treatments based on this information and draw up a treatment plan. We actively encourage patients to be involved in the design process to meet their expectations and individual requirements or desires. Before treatment begins it is important to have your oral health checked, and if any existing dental problems are found these will be treated as a priority.
How can a smile makeover improve my smile?
Very few people have a perfect smile, but if you are constantly drawn to the flaws in your smile or feel self-conscious when you smile or open your mouth, a smile makeover could be the ideal solution. A smile makeover can address many cosmetic flaws and problems, including:
- Stained and discoloured teeth
- Chipped and worn teeth
- Twisted and crooked teeth
- Gaps between the teeth
- Overcrowding
- Gummy smile (Where too much gum shows during smiling and/or the teeth look too small)
- Missing teeth
How much does a smile makeover cost?
The cost of a smile makeover varies because the treatments involved in each makeover can be different. We will discuss costs with you and recommend treatments based on your budget.

Trish Farrell
This lady had some very bad experiences with dentists from a young age. Most of her upper teeth at the back on both sides were extracted and she was never offered root canal treatment which could have saved them. Unfortunately, all that ill-advised tooth pulling had left Trisha with hardly any bone and a narrow upper arch.
It was a long treatment plan of two years, comprising bone grafting and sinus lift, multiple implant placement, gum recontouring of the upper front teeth, porcelain veneers on the top and new metal free crown and bridgework on the lowers. It was an extremely challenging case but the patient is happy and we are very proud of the results.

"I wrecked my teeth as a child because I had a really sweet tooth but was too terrified to go to the dentist. I’ve recently started modelling but could not show my teeth when I smiled on any of the pictures. It got so bad and painful in my mouth that I couldn’t carry on and had to pluck up the courage to get my teeth sorted but even the thought of it scared me to death!
I found Apollonia Dental & Cosmetic Centre on Rodney Street, Liverpool through the Dental Phobia website. When I called they were so nice and helpful on the phone that I booked for a free consultation.
I didn’t sleep a wink the night before but as soon as I got there they were so warm and friendly that I knew instantly that I’d chosen to the right place for me.
They really understood my anxiety and how to get me through it even though it was obvious that I needed an awful lot of treatment.
I was offered sedation but in the end they just treated me with kid gloves and plenty of care and understanding and got my mouth really healthy. Then I went ahead with the cosmetic work and I had it all done without any need for sedation at all. I cannot believe where I am now and I could not be more thrilled with the results. My confidence is at an all-time high and now I love showing my beautiful smile on my modelling shoots. I could not recommend Apollonia and the wonderful dentists there any more highly and would encourage anyone, no matter how scared, to go there and see for yourself. You will not regret it – if I can do it anyone can!"
