Saggy Cheeks
This appearance can be caused by deep lines emanating from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth or from a fallen or ‘flat’ look in the cheekbone area. This is treated by the use of heavier-bodied dermal fillers such as a grade 3 Hydrafill, the more long lasting Radiesse ™ or Sculptra ™.
Thin Lips
We know as Dentists in Liverpool that many people are embarrassed or ashamed of their thin lips. Fuller mouths are considered more attractive and sensuous and many Hollywood stars have had theirs enhanced. It is a relatively simple procedure to correct thin, unbalanced or uneven lips with filler such as Hydrafill ™ or Radiesse ™. At Apollonia we would provide a local anesthetic so the procedure would be extremely comfortable.
Smokers Lines
These can be a problem even for people who have never smoked and comprise the multiple fine lines which emanate out from the lips. This lends the mouth a very aged look and can cause problems for make-up wearers when their lipstick ‘bleeds’ out into these lines on the skin. This problem is usually solved with the use of a dermal filler, such as Hydrafill ™ or Radiesse ™ introduced into the border of the lips. The right thickness or type of filler for your particular problem will be used. Sometimes a fine filler may also be necessary in the actual lines on the skin to soften them. In more severe cases a very small amount of Botox ™ or Dysport ™ can also be used to prevent excessive ‘pursing’ of the lips. Results can be further optimized by the use of a facial skin peel such as AgeraRx ™.
Gummy smile/droopy smile
The gummy smile (where a lot of gum shows between the top lip and teeth) can be treated so that the upper lip does not rise up so high during smiling so less gum is displayed.
A droopy smile (where the corners of the mouth turn down) can be corrected by stilling the muscles causing this downward motion and so encouraging the muscles which lift the smile. Clever use of a dermal filler can also ‘upturn’ the smile either as a stand alone treatment or in conjunction with Botox ™ or Dysport ™
Jowls
Nothing ages the face as much as saggy jowls. This appearance can often be improved by a combined non-surgical approach utilizing Botox ™, or Dysport ™, and dermal fillers such as Hydrafill, ™ Radiesse ™ or Sculptra ™
Hollow or Sunken Eyes
Such an appearance around the eyes lends a tired, aged or unhealthy look to the face. It is often possible to correct this with the use of dermal fillers, which may also minimise the appearance of dark under eye bags.
Dull Complexion/Fine Lines & Wrinkles/Blotchy Discoloured Skin

White vs Silver fillings the facts!

They can last a long time, but we are all now far more concerned with the appearance of our teeth, and don’t want to see rows of black fillings when we smile and laugh.
